About LAFF

LAFF is a dynamic organisation with over 15 years of experience, based in Cusco, Peru. We work to enable equitable access to quality education and personal development opportunities for children and young people at risk of harm and social exclusion. Our partnership model allows us to work with a local network to deliver our quality education programme, as well as develop our partners’ organisational capacity and sustainability, amplifying impact over the long term.

Benefits

Why Work With Us

What LAFF offers its permanent team and volunteers.

Space to Lead, Support to Act

LAFF combines a dedicated staff team with skilled international volunteers and an engaged Board. Together, they contribute expertise, guidance and practical support that strengthens our organisation and amplifies our impact.

Encouraging Innovation

LAFF is shaped by people committed to our mission and driven by curiosity. We create space to test new ideas, learn continuously, and use evidence to strengthen both our organisation and our impact.

Commitment to Professional Wellbeing

We are committed to the professional development and wellbeing of our team. This includes dedicated mentoring, a generous holiday allowance, and an environment that values the whole person behind the role.

Embracing la vida cusqueña

We are proud to work in Cusco, where a rich cultural heritage and strong community spirit shape our approach. We ground our programme delivery in local context, and we encourage our team of staff and volunteers to embrace and celebrate the region’s identity.

The ideal candidate

What We Look For

We are seeking individuals who share our values and approach.

Resilience & Adaptability

International development operates within shifting political, economic and social contexts that bring both uncertainty and opportunity. LAFF responds thoughtfully to change, adapts its approaches, and provides stability to partners — viewing change not only as a risk, but as an opportunity to learn, innovate and strengthen organisational development.

Belief in Working With Communities

Co-designing programmes with our partners has been crucial to LAFF’s organisational development. Rather than assuming that proven frameworks can simply be transferred, we invest in shaping them around Andean realities, cultural identities, and the lived experiences of the communities our partners serve.

Welcome Diversity

We are fortunate to be supported by experienced volunteers from all around the world. Our permanent staff represent our organisational values, ensuring a professional, inclusive and rewarding work environment for everyone.

Work With Curiosity

LAFF has benefited hugely from individuals who bring an openness to new perspectives and a drive for quality improvement across our external and internal programmes. We encourage creativity and innovation, along with a commitment to real-world evidence and validation to test new ideas and support continuous learning.
