Where you make a significant donation, we may carry out publicly available background research to verify the source of funds, in line with our obligations as a charity.
LAFF will never sell or exchange your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not use external organisations to process personal data for individual donors. However, as a small volunteer-led charity, we may work with a professional fundraising agencies which collect trust and foundation information on our behalf. This arrangement does not affect individual donors, and LAFF remains the data controller and retains responsibility for your data.
We use the Brevo mailing system when we are sending emails to large numbers of users. This includes sending out our quarterly newsletter, volunteering opportunities mailings and the mailings for fundraising campaigns.
If you register an interest in becoming a volunteer, sign up for our newsletter or opt in to ongoing communications through a fundraising campaign, your mailing details will be held on Brevo’s servers, primarily based in the EU.
